Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff in the development and support of flight simulation tools and frameworks
Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures aligned with departmental and organizational goals
Oversee resource acquisition, including managing relationships with suppliers and technical partners
Provide technical oversight, review, and approval of approaches, products, and processes to ensure quality and compliance
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality within the team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet operational needs
Mentor and motivate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Serve as a business owner on the Flight Simulation Labs F/A-18 Agile Release Train, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution
Minimum of one year of demonstrated leadership experience in a technical or engineering environment
Experience working on real-time modeling and simulation products and/or mission systems
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project tracking methodologies
Knowledge of the Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile development practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams
Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance, including U.S. citizenship
Preferred
Prior experience leading software teams
Familiarity with defense or aerospace systems
Background in modeling, simulation, or mission systems development
