Responsibilities
Management and coordination of the physician's clinic and surgery schedule
Manage the insurance verification process, frequently calling insurance companies to acquire pre-authorizations
Demonstrate professionalism at all times and have strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Work as a team member, building good relationships with hospital staff inside and outside the department
Use effective time management to set priorities
Qualification
Required
Previous experience working in a medical office required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have excellent customer service skills
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills for problem solving
Must demonstrate professionalism at all times
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high phone and patient volume environment
Must be detail oriented
Ability to change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
Able to use effective time management to set priorities
Proficient in Microsoft applications and EMR/Epic experience
Preferred
1-3 years Scheduling Coordinator experience preferred
Bilingual Spanish preferred
