Chief Executive Officer
Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan (GSHOM) is one of Michigan’s premier youth serving organizations, seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction. The CEO will partner with the Board of Trustees to set strategic direction, ensure financial sustainability, grow membership, and expand the organization’s impact across the state.
Individual & Family Services
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership for the council
Lead a high-performing executive leadership team
Partner with the GSHOM Board of Trustees to advance the council’s objectives
Drive financial stability and fundraising success
Advance membership growth and program excellence
Strengthen relationships with community, nonprofit, corporate, and national partners
Represent the council publicly and advocate for the Girl Scout mission
Register as an active member of Girl Scouts of the USA annually
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Senior executive leadership experience in a nonprofit, membership-based, or mission-driven organization
Proven success in fundraising, financial oversight, and strategic leadership
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
Ability to travel and to work outside the normal workday
Preferred
Experience with youth-serving organizations or Girl Scouts preferred
