Responsibilities

Design of Spacecraft Structures, Mechanisms, Antenna and Payload placement of mechanical hardware from concept through integration and test all based on customer driven requirements
Perform detailed design tasks using Creo Parametric Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other software tools to develop and document designs for manufacturing and ultimately assembly into spacecraft
Produce Mechanical drawings and Model Based Designs (MBD’s) using industry standard GD&T processes
Interface with Mechanical design and engineering teams to produce efficient and manufacturable spacecraft parts and assemblies
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience with associates degree
No clearance required to start
Experience with performing mechanical tasks associated with design and manufacturing of aerospace structures
Experience with Creo Parametric Computer Aided Design (CAD) software including use of skeletons, large assembly management, with piping and harness modules and drawing creation with GD&T
Be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite

Preferred

Experience with spacecraft layout and design
Experience with GD&T standards and preparation of manufacturing documentation
Experience with MBD's, Large Assembly management, Skeletons, piping and harness modules, 3D Printing, Design for Manufacturing, and hands-on hardware fabrication
Experience with Blender or other animation software
