Responsibilities

Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling
Designs arrangement of equipment within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan
Inspects performance of equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality
Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques
Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations
Performs total productive maintenance, 6S Audit management, tracks yield, scrap, and parts consumption for all fabrication efforts

Required

BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related STEM Technical field with a minimum 2 year industry experience
Experience reading, interpreting, and revising engineering drawings
Experience in computer assisted design software (SolidWorks/CATIA)
Experience with creating Work Instructions, Visual Aids, and Bill of Materials within shop floor or MRP systems
Experience dispositioning non-conformances
Experience with Hands-On production support and training of personnel

Preferred

SAP MRP and Solumina experience a plus
IPC-620 and J-STD-001 Certification
Candidate should also have a general understanding of continuous improvement, Six Sigma and Lean methodologies in a low volume, high mix, engineer to order, manufacturing environment
Experience with creating and setting up production and assembly lines and processes
Experience with shop routing in a low-level kitting and assembly/processing environment
Familiar with Material Review Boards for product/quality deviation
