Information Technology & Services

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and refining the organization’s information system vision and strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
Research emerging technologies and participate in beta testing to evaluate their suitability for CHRISTUS Health’s environment
Evaluate proposed system acquisitions, providing critical insights into compatibility, cost, resource requirements, and operational impact
Develop and recommend standards, procedures, and best practices for technology deployment and management across the enterprise
Design and model IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and capacity planning to meet current and future demands
Lead architecture design initiatives independently, guiding teams through complex system development and implementation projects
Maintain a deep understanding of business strategies and infrastructure capabilities to ensure flexible, supportive architectures
Collaborate with technical teams to establish and uphold technical standards and best practices
Communicate technical solutions effectively to all levels of management, including executive leadership, translating complex concepts into understandable language
Participate in requirements gathering, discovery, and stakeholder engagement to align technical solutions with business needs
Evaluate new systems, system modifications, and integrations, overseeing decision-making processes and risk assessments
Act swiftly and decisively in dynamic situations, demonstrating initiative and proactive planning to seize opportunities and mitigate risks
Leverage an advanced understanding of clinical and business operations to develop solutions that enhance workflow efficiency and service delivery
Review documentation, provide feedback, and ensure clarity and accuracy in technical and project documentation
Build strong, collaborative relationships with management and stakeholders at all levels, fostering trust and effective communication
Apply strategic business insights to support customer goals, utilizing experimentation and creative problem-solving techniques

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture within healthcare or hospital systems environments
Extensive technical expertise in healthcare IT systems, databases, networking, operating systems, and information management best practices
Proficiency in SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
Solid understanding of business process analysis, data integration, and security models
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work effectively across diverse teams

Preferred

Certifications in relevant areas such as TOGAF, CISSP, or cloud architecture
