Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 5-10 program/portfolio managers to ensure successful execution of programs
Find opportunities for efficiency and re-use across portfolios to decrease schedule, reduce cost, and maximize quality
Ensure all PMs are adhering to government contracting regulations and standards, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Day-to-day activities will also include program management responsibilities on a key hardware development program. This will include the following:
Working closely with technical leads and project teams to guide hardware and software projects to completion, ensuring alignment with government specifications and standards
Identifying potential project risks and develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables
Overseeing project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions without compromising project quality and compliance
Developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables
Management of key vendor relationships, including working closely with our in-house procurement team to ensure successful and timely procurements
Participate in new business development activities by identifying new opportunities with existing customers and supporting proposal efforts to market current capabilities to new customers
Work closely with the CTO to identify opportunities for internal investments that will ultimately lead to future hardware development programs

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar from an accredited university program
Minimum of 15 years of experience with demonstrated successive advancement in scope and complexity of management responsibility
Experience managing $10M+ annual hardware and software development contracts
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about the direction of the organization and apply that strategy to winning new business
U.S. Citizenship required, and successful completion of a background check is mandatory

Preferred

Familiarity with Other Transactional Authority (OTA) type contracts
Experience with foreign military sales
Experience with Jamis Prime or similar ERP
Master's degree in Engineering or other technical field
