Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Ensure data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance
Build and optimize batch processing workflows for AI/ML model training, inference, and feature engineering
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and storage solutions for analytical and operational purposes
Implement best practices for data warehousing, database design, and metadata management
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across pipelines and storage systems
Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to provide clean, well-structured data for analysis and reporting
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize data processes and pipeline performance
Document data architecture, pipelines, and processes for internal reference and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
35 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing
Strong programming skills in SQL and Python/Scala/Java
Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) principles and implementation across data platforms
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience with cloud platforms and tools (AWS, Azure, GCP, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and data pipeline best practices
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards
Preferred
Familiarity with streaming concepts and message queues (Kafka, etc.) for understanding upstream data sources
Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect)
Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and analytics pipelines
Knowledge of DevOps practices for CI/CD and infrastructure as code
