Quality Control Inspector

MID Construction Group is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector (Consultant) to oversee construction quality across all active projects. This role involves conducting high-level quality inspections and providing independent assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct high-level quality inspections across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP work
Verify field work against drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable codes (CBC, LABC, ACI, ASTM, NFPA, industry standards)
Identify deviations, workmanship issues, and long-term durability risks
Provide independent assessments and recommend corrective actions to ensure proper closure
Advise Project Engineers and ACMs on technical matters, quality risks, and compliance gaps
Prepare professional reports including photos, notes, checklists, and NCRs; maintain logs of deficiencies and follow-ups
Travel between multiple project sites based on schedule and coordinate with teams to ensure inspection readiness
Enforce company QA/QC standards and recommend long-term improvements to prevent recurring issues
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals when required for compliance verification

Required

Strong technical knowledge and judgment to identify quality issues
Experience in overseeing construction quality across multiple projects

Proficiency in verifying field work against drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable codes (CBC, LABC, ACI, ASTM, NFPA, industry standards)
Capability to identify deviations, workmanship issues, and long-term durability risks
Experience in providing independent assessments and recommending corrective actions
Ability to advise Project Engineers and ACMs on technical matters, quality risks, and compliance gaps
Skill in preparing professional reports including photos, notes, checklists, and NCRs
Experience in maintaining logs of deficiencies and follow-ups
Willingness to travel across 20+ project sites
Ability to enforce company QA/QC standards and recommend long-term improvements
Experience in reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals for compliance verification
