Responsibilities

Driving clean order entry and processing prior to COE execution
Increasing customer satisfaction by driving more upfront conversation on incoming orders and any engineering/design issues
Providing a robust feedback loop to our sales teams regarding quotation issues/oversight
Review incoming orders, inclusive of customer plans and specifications and all other relevant pre/post bid communications to drive clean and clear requirements for the order engineering team
Provide feedback to sales team regarding any major oversights impacting things such as equipment layout, missing control components, pricing, invalid configurations, etc
Support the negotiation of change notices required prior to transitioning an order to the COE team for engineering execution
Support the identification of the long lead material requirements and generating procurement demand
Develop clear hand-off instructions for the COE team to execute against their orders, eliminating the need to complete a thorough review of the incoming order information
Support the development of the COE team, providing guidance on customer interactions and executing against complex engineering requirements not fully defined in our automation systems
Maintain familiarity with product line engineering and application requirements, inclusive of electrical, electro-mechanical, programmable logic controllers and communication protocols
Manage large projects to completion within deadlines with little, or no supervision
Interpret customer one-line diagrams, specifications, and wiring diagrams to determine order requirements and apply Eaton designs to meet customer’s expectations with a proven ability to generate electrical schematics and mechanical layouts based on the information received
Perform standard engineering assignments often representing a significant portion of a larger project for Eaton
Coordinate with other Eaton product lines and business units as needed to ensure quality of products to end customer
Embrace and drive a continuous improvement work environment, challenging the status quo to drive business process improvements that will lead towards more autonomous work

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Seven (7)+ years of engineering experience with electrical distribution and control products
Three (3)+ years as a COE/Application Engineer
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Previous experience and/or knowledge of electrical distribution equipment
Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering and design software programs
