Director of Insights, Financial Services Practice

The Director of Insights will lead the execution of political risk and due diligence products for the financial services sector, creating comprehensive reports and delivering actionable insights to clients while collaborating with lobbyists and internal teams.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary lead for large-scale political risk and regulatory due diligence projects; manage end-to-end execution from scoping to delivery
Create comprehensive reports that incorporate political, regulatory, and policy risks and opportunities related to prospective or existing investments
Partner with lobbyists across the holding company to identify and translate complex policy and regulatory dynamics into actionable insights for investor audiences
Prepare client-ready deliverables such as written reports and presentation materials
Act as the primary point of contact for clients; interact with clients in an iterative manner throughout the project lifecycle
Present findings to client teams and investors
Produce subscription-based, recurring written content that articulates the firm’s perspective and areas of focus
Ensure a steady cadence of externally facing content to support brand awareness, investor engagement, and attract future due diligence opportunities
Build strong working relationships across the firm’s operating companies to access institutional knowledge and political intelligence
Coordinate outreach to federal and state lobbyists, policy professionals, and subject-matter experts to enhance open-source research
Participate in special projects or other duties as necessary to advance firmwide goals
Qualification
Required
7+ years of related professional services experience
Demonstrated success producing investor-facing political risk, policy, or regulatory analysis
Advanced written communication skills; ability to produce polished, client-ready deliverables on a frequent basis under tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to bring together internal and external stakeholders and synthesize key information
Familiarity with basic economic and financial concepts relevant to investment analysis
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
The ability to independently multi-task and manage several complex projects at one time
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to operate with integrity and ethics, and maintain highest standards of confidentiality
Willingness and ability to meet and exceed established deadlines
Ability to collaborate within the team and ability to utilize independent judgement when necessary
Ability to learn new processes quickly and without continual guidance
“Can do” attitude
Preferred
Advanced degree (JD, MPP, MBA, or similar)
Prior experience on Capitol Hill or in policy analysis
Detailed understanding of the government relations consulting landscape
