Media Intern
Learning About Law is dedicated to making the complexities of the legal system accessible to everyone, emphasizing that understanding the law is a vital part of justice. The Media Intern will assist with media planning, content development, and coordination of multimedia projects for the Learning About Law podcast and related platforms.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Creative Marketing: Brainstorm and execute "hook-driven" content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok that bridges the gap between complex law and public interest
Partnership Strategy: Identify and pitch potential brand partners, universities, and student organizations that align with our "democratizing law" mission
Social Impact Scaling: Help design and launch campaigns that turn our listeners into a community (e.g., student advocates, legal-tech enthusiasts)
Production Support: Assist in editing high-impact "clips" from podcast episodes and drafting compelling copy for show notes and social posts
Qualification
Required
Experience in Media Planning and New Media for content coordination and distribution
Strong Communication and Research skills, with the ability to understand legal topics and translate them into accessible formats
Knowledge of Marketing strategies and techniques for engaging diverse audiences
Proficiency in relevant tools or platforms used for digital media creation and management
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment
Self-motivation, creativity, and an interest in legal education or public information
Preferred
Pursuing or holding a degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields is a plus
Currently enrolled in a college or university (Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or Film/Media majors preferred)
Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere/CapCut, or similar creative tools
A strong presence or understanding of LinkedIn as a professional networking tool
