Cybersecurity Policy Principal Manager
Southern California Edison (SCE) is leading the Clean Energy Revolution and is seeking a Cybersecurity Policy Principal Manager to advise on national security and emerging risk topics. The role involves shaping security policy, representing the company in security forums, and maintaining strategic partnerships to advance security objectives.

Responsibilities
Establishes the strategy and forward‑looking vision for Edison’s National Security and Emerging Risk Program that aligns to the Company’s mission and adapts to the evolving threat landscape
Defines and communicates the vision through a multi‑year strategic roadmap informed by industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging threats, and leads the team in executing that vision
Aligns cross‑functional (legal, compliance, operations, government affairs, and communications) input to develop a coherent policy agenda, form consistent positions, and advance Edison’s policy priorities in Washington and Sacramento
Translates evolving national security directives into enterprise risk management, compliance, and governance recommendations and coordinates across departments to make them actionable
Monitors developments in national security and critical infrastructure policy (e.g., federal rulemaking, legislation, threat briefings) and advises the CEO, senior executives, and the Board of Directors on impacts to Edison’s risk posture
Fosters international security cooperation with relevant industries and government peers to meet emerging threats
Serves as the company’s primary liaison with federal security agencies (e.g., DOE, DHS, DOD, FBI), international partners, and industry groups (e.g., ESCC, peer utilities) to shape policy, exchange threat information and mitigation strategies, and advance shared infrastructure protection goals (e.g., Energy Threat Analysis Center in Denver, CO)
Supervises, mentors, and develops staff within the National Security & Emerging Risk Policy team, including contractors, and manages program resources and budgets that support policy analysis, advocacy, and engagement activities
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Qualification
Required
Seven or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management
Five or more years of experience in managing Cybersecurity, Public Policy, or Government Security projects and programs
US Citizenship Required
Preferred
Experience and effectiveness working across business units, with executives, and in collaboration with government staff
Experience counseling senior leaders including C-Suite executives or Cabinet-level officials
Experience and demonstrated keen judgement in facilitating debate, influencing and negotiating to consensus
Experience reviewing proposed federal policies or legislation
Strong representational skills, including effective verbal and written communication
