Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily sterile processing and instrument reprocessing operations

Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards including infection control and safety protocols

Oversee staff performance, scheduling, training, and workflow efficiency

Maintain quality assurance and proper documentation of sterilization processes

Coordinate preparation, cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays

Collaborate with surgical teams and clinical departments to support procedural readiness

Monitor equipment functionality and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures

Required

Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience

Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience

Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) certification required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within specified timeframe)

Vocational or technical training in sterile processing or related field required

Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards and sterilization procedures

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
