Construction Project Accountant
PrideStaff is seeking experienced Construction Project Accountants for premier clients in Jupiter and West Palm Beach. The role involves managing the financial complexities of luxury custom homes and large-scale property management, focusing on job costing, compliance, and sophisticated reporting.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end project cost analysis, ensuring all expenses are accurately tracked, coded, and reported against detailed budgets
Mastery of Work in Progress (WIP) and Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting to provide real-time project health updates
Prepare and manage comprehensive construction loan draw requests using AIA G702/G703 forms and lender-specific formats, ensuring all supporting documentation (lien waivers, etc.) is flawless
Generate client-facing financial reports and detailed variance analyses for project managers, executives, and high-net-worth stakeholders
Manage the full cycle of vendor invoices, subcontractor compliance (insurance, W-9s, lien waivers), and sophisticated client billing
Maintain strict adherence to GAAP and internal controls while assisting with year-end financial reviews and tax preparations
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years specifically in construction (custom/luxury home building or large-scale property management)
High proficiency in construction-specific software is required: Procore, Sage Intacct, Buildertrend, Yardi, or QuickBooks Contractor
Expert-level Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a must
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Cost-Plus contracts
Preferred
CPA or CPA candidate is highly preferred
