Responsibilities
Court Filing and Deadlines: Electronically filing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; maintaining, calculating, and calendaring court deadlines (docketing)
Document Preparation: Drafting, formatting, proofreading, and editing correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and discovery shells
Case Management: Organizing and Maintaining electronic files; managing document production, preparing trial binders, exhibits lists, and notebooks
Scheduling and Coordination: Scheduling depositions, hearings, meetings, and travel for attorneys
Communication Liaison: Acting as a primary contact for clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court staff
Administrative Support: Processing attorney time entries, opening new client matters
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in a law firm or litigation environment is typically required
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Case Peer) and document management systems
High-level of attention to detail for managing multiple deadlines and files
Strong written and verbal skills for drafting documents and communicating with clients
Highly proficient in both languages, verbal and written (Bilingual Spanish and English)
