Responsibilities
Own and evolve AWS infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines (Infrastructure-as-Code)
Build standard patterns for reliability, security, and cost awareness
Partner with engineers to ship safely (deployment strategy, monitoring/alerting, incident response)
Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs: regularly review cloud resource usage (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), identify waste, apply right-sizing practices, leverage reserved instances or spot instances, and automate shutdown of unused environments
Embed cost metrics into CI/CD pipelines: ensure each deployment includes alerts and financial impact reports, enabling technical decisions aligned with budget constraints
Qualification
Required
Ability to reduce manual work by creating self-service tooling that enhances developer velocity
Commitment to treating reliability and security as shared responsibilities and embedding them into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Evidence of independent ownership and delivery in past roles
Ability to communicate clearly in English (written + spoken) with US stakeholders
Depth in testing culture, CI/CD, and production operations
Examples of simplifying systems/processes and removing manual bottlenecks
