Responsibilities
Perform a variety of laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, microbiology, chemistry, immunology, and blood banking
Analyze and interpret test results accurately and report findings to physicians or other healthcare providers
Prepare, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning
Collect and process patient specimens while following proper safety and infection control protocols
Maintain accurate records of test results, procedures, and quality control measures
Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance programs to maintain laboratory standards
Follow laboratory safety procedures and adhere to federal, state, and institutional regulations
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff or laboratory assistants, if applicable
Qualification
Required
Two (2) years' experience working in a clinical laboratory
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT)
New York State Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Proof of grandfathering exception if applicable
BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
