Responsibilities
Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs from an architect's rough drawings
Analyzes building codes and regulations to determine how they will affect architectural designs
Draws and details plans based on instructions provided by engineers and architects
Occasionally visit job sites to gather data and measurements needed to complete designs
Determines the types of materials needed for the project and calculates the quantity to be ordered
Assures work completed is accurate and within project deadlines
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficient with AutoCAD, required
Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar
Efficient verbal and written communication skills
Efficient interpersonal and customer service skills
Efficient organizational skills and attention to detail
Efficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Design Drafting, Engineering or related field
At least two years of AutoCAD experience required
At least two years related experience required
Preferred
Knowledge of Revit a plus
