Responsibilities
Manage and oversee sales & use tax compliance on a monthly basis
Review and improve existing sales & use tax processes, identifying opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiency
Provide training and guidance to accounting and purchasing staff to enhance their understanding of sales & use tax requirements
Review purchase orders to ensure proper tax application and documentation
Monitor tax activities to ensure full compliance with applicable state and local regulations
Collaborate with internal teams to address tax-related questions, discrepancies, or process gaps
Assist with any audit support, documentation, or compliance testing as needed
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience in Sales & Use Tax accounting or compliance
Strong understanding of multi‑state sales & use tax rules and best practices
Experience reviewing purchase orders for proper tax classification
Ability to train and coach staff at varying levels of tax knowledge
Process-oriented with the ability to identify improvements and implement solutions
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred
