Responsibilities
Provide customer service to facility staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location
Control access by verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and directing guests and deliveries to appropriate areas
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or local public emergency services when needed
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations
Monitor alarms, radios, and/or video surveillance systems as assigned, and complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
