Responsibilities
Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for complex software systems
Assist in shaping the Battlespace Picture roadmap and vision, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Develop and implement containerized software architectures across various hardware platforms, integrating open standards like Open Mission Systems (OMS), Open Communication Standard (OCS), and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
Define boundaries for OMS subsystems, establish requirements, and develop service contracts to facilitate modular and scalable software solutions
Lead the development and integration of software components, overseeing verification plans, test procedures, and environments to ensure compliance with requirements
Provide technical leadership across projects, managing software supplier activities, and tracking performance metrics
Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment
Work across hardware and software teams, coordinating efforts to meet project milestones, resolve defects, and drive continuous improvement
Demonstrate proactive problem-solving, strategic planning, and effective communication skills
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in embedded software architecture, development, and design
At least 2 years of experience leading software projects or technical teams
A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields from an accredited institution
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
Experience with distributed and containerized software architectures
Experience with Linux and Windows platforms
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools like MSOSA
An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Meeting U.S. export control requirements
Preferred
Knowledge of open architecture standards such as OMS
Experience working within Agile development environments
