Senior Emergency Management & Business Continuity Planner

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) strategies and solutions
Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical functions, vulnerabilities, and recovery priorities
Select appropriate continuity strategies and ensure thorough documentation of BC/DR policies, procedures, and recovery plans
Plan, facilitate, and evaluate regular mock-disaster and tabletop exercises to assess the effectiveness and readiness of existing continuity plans
Lead post-exercise debriefs, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and update plans and procedures to reflect lessons learned and evolving organizational needs
Serve as the central coordinator for continuity and recovery efforts during and following disruption events, ensuring effective communication, alignment across stakeholders, and timely execution of recovery strategies to restore critical operations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, Education, Organizational Development, Emergency Planning, Business Continuity or related field
5 years Emergency management or business continuity experience
3 years Experience required with Master's degree
Preferred
Master's Degree Engineering, Applied or Basic Sciences, Environmental Science, Emergency Management or related field
5 years Emergency management or business continuity experience, to include two years in a healthcare environment
TDL - Texas Drivers License Class A, B or C valid Texas driver's license depending on the type and weight of vehicle to be operated and number of passengers to be carried and eligible to drive State and institutional vehicles. Upon Hire
