Responsibilities
Leading the development, documentation, and maintenance of efficient and innovative processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline the software lifecycle
Providing comprehensive technical oversight for various systems, guiding teams in designing and operating production-ready applications
Evaluating emerging technologies and seeking innovative solutions to address technical challenges will be a key part of your role
Mentoring and developing engineers across all levels is essential to foster a collaborative environment
Taking ownership of projects, working independently or with teams to prototype new features and applications, and shape the architecture of multiple web applications
Building and expanding infrastructure for multi-application communication, logging, alerts, authentication, and configuration management will be part of your scope
Creating test suites to verify system reliability, performance, and behavior, and collaborating with users and developers to define requirements and implement solutions
Engaging in architectural discussions, influencing roadmaps, and resolving complex technical issues to enhance system resilience and performance are critical aspects of this role
Overseeing the integration of current and emerging technologies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and translating system-level requirements into detailed software artifacts
Qualification
Required
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
At least 7 years of experience in backend software development
Proficiency in Go, Java, or equivalent server-side languages
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SQL or PL/SQL interfacing with databases
Substantial experience in infrastructure development
Solid understanding of agile methodologies
Track record of leading projects from inception to completion
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields
Experience in concurrency programming
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
Knowledge of modern architectural styles such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design
