Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Supporting the performance, verification, and sustainment of tactical communication systems and their components in operational environments
Participating in formal engineering analyses, reviewing system performance parameters, and developing and releasing data management, processing, and reporting software tools
Troubleshooting communication systems, analyzing data link messages, and ensuring compliance with military standards
Building and testing software and system requirements, developing test cases, and documenting defect reports
Presenting design and project updates during reviews and recommending improvements to existing systems
Handling classified materials securely and maintaining knowledge of tactical datalink radios and interfaces, including MIDS-JTRS, JTIDS Class 2, and JRE, as well as MIL-STD-1553B
Familiarity with network security, UNIX/Linux systems, and the ability to obtain a Class III flight certification
Qualification
Required
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
Graduate degree with at least four (4) years of experience, or ten (10) years of applicable experience without a degree will be considered
Current DOD Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience in troubleshooting Data Link systems such as Link16 and CMF
Software coding and development skills
Preferred
Knowledge of Mil-Standards 3011, 6016, 6018, and 6020
Experience with systems requirements tools like DOORS or JIRA
Familiarity with tactical radios, MIL-STD interfaces, Unix/Linux commands, networking technologies
Security certifications such as Security+
Military or DoD experience
