The role involves maintaining the mechanical condition of all golf course equipment and collaborating with the Golf Course Superintendent and other mechanics to ensure equipment is ready for daily use.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and equipment systems. This includes, but is not limited to, operator and equipment safety switch operation, engine tune-ups, carburetor adjustments, tire repair. Ensure safe and proper operation of hydraulic, brake, fuel, steering, electrical, and cooling systems
Repair engine/drive train assemblies, starters, cutting units, roller bearing and seals, carburetors, fuel pumps, hydraulic motors and hoses. Install batteries, tires, lights, and glass
Adjust, sharpen, and backlap reel mowers to ensure proper reel to bed knife adjustment and proper height-of-cut on all cutting units
Perform occasional welding, machining, bodywork and painting
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualification
Required
At least 1 year of well-rounded experience as golf course mechanic, and/or related mechanical experience
Skilled in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools
Ability to troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment and equipment systems
Ensure safe and proper operation of hydraulic, brake, fuel, steering, electrical, and cooling systems
