2026 Voyager Summer Internship - Software Engineering

Voyager Technologies is an innovative defense, national security, and space technology company committed to advancing transformative solutions. The Software Engineering intern will assist in iterating on existing Commanding and Telemetry tool suite used by Voyager Flight Operations to command to the ISS, while gaining hands-on experience through project-based work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with projects, research, analysis, and/or documentation
Localize telemetry display software (currently cloud-based)
Optimize telemetry database structure
Automate database backup and/or redundant syncing between servers
Create custom database telemetry display
Contribute ideas for process improvement and operational efficiency

Required

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Software Engineering; junior standing by fall 2026
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Experience with databases (MongoDB, InfluxDB ideally)
Familiarity with Node.js/Javascript and Networking
Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion

Preferred

Previous internship, coursework, or project experience
Interest in spacecraft telemetry, data parsing, databases, flight operations
