The internship will support government relations efforts related to civil and commercial space policy, regulatory issues, and export controls impacting space technologies, with responsibilities including monitoring legislation and drafting policy briefs.

Responsibilities
Monitor space and export-related legislation, regulation, and agency activity
Track export control policy developments relevant to space technologies and international partnerships
Draft policy briefs and news-driven issue summaries as needed
Support Hill and agency engagement strategy development
Attend space policy events, hearings, or briefings; provide readouts with follow-on strategy and insights
Assist with meeting preparation and internal coordination
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in a related major; senior standing by fall 2026
Interest in space policy, aerospace, and government affairs
Strong written and analytical skills
Ability to track and summarize fast-moving policy developments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
