Start in 2026 SummerThe Children's Museum of Indianapolis is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support their IT team on key initiatives. This role involves implementing a policy management software solution and providing operational IT support while gaining hands-on experience in a large organization.

Responsibilities
Work with IT staff to review, update, standardize, and deploy IT policies and procedures within the Museum’s policy management software
Meet with departments across the Museum to support them in preparing and publishing policies and procedures in the policy management system
Assist the Help Desk Analyst with imaging, deploying, and refreshing laptops for Museum staff
Troubleshot hardware and software help desk tickets as assigned
Document processes, procedures, and updates related to IT operations and policy deployment
Support additional IT operational projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Jr or above standing and currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
Strong technical writing skills
Experience working with a variety of software applications
Ability to communicate effectively with both technically proficient and non-technical users
Ability to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software issues
Experience with standard software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to read, write, and edit technical documentation, with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff through written and verbal communication, with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to use standard office and computer equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred
Experience with technical writing related to governance, policies, or procedures preferred
Previous experience with IT support or help desk work preferred, but not required
