This role is responsible for the design and development of tailored garments, collaborating closely with the Founder and Creative Director, as well as various teams to ensure exceptional fit and execution.

Responsibilities
Set the visual inspiration and concepts for the for the structured woven category seasonal collections and content creation
Ideate and develop seasonal storyboards including inspiration boards, color stories, tailoring direction, construction techniques, and trend research
Design structured woven products through sketches, swatches, vintage/market research, and mockups, and present to the Creative Director
Lead and actively participate in garment fittings across both development and production stages, partnering with the Founder and Creative Director as well as Technical and Product Development teams to ensure design intent, fit, and quality are maintained from concept through final production
Create mood boards for monthly photo shoots and work with the Creative Director on execution ensuring strong attention to tailoring, proportion, and garment engineering
Research and develop seasonal trends from initial concepts and sketches through production, working closely with product development, technical, and merchandising teams to ensure product needs are accomplished
Actively participate in the design and launch of new lines from inception to completion
Involvement in visual merchandising of the showroom and stores and supporting the brand in executing its creative identity
Source relevant fabric and trim through trade shows, vendor appointments, and store visits aligned with seasonal direction
Conduct ongoing research for collection and marketing/communications content, including art exhibitions, vintage stores, fabric libraries, and museums
Travel as necessary for design inspiration, development, and factory visits, both domestically and internationally
Qualification
Required
Must have 5+ years of experience in design for advanced contemporary and/or luxury brands, with a focus on structured or tailored woven garments
Strong expertise in garment construction, tailoring, and fit, with deep knowledge of patternmaking and technical execution
Sharp eye for detail and a strong passion for art, vintage, and creative discovery
Extremely creative and aligned with the Nili Lotan design aesthetic
Strong sense of design and technical finishing that is sophisticated, clean, and modern
Proficient with computer programs including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
Strong knowledge of garment construction, tailoring, luxury fabrics, silhouettes, finishing, embellishments, and trim
Portfolio submission is required and must demonstrate relevant experience in Structured Wovens and luxury or advanced contemporary design
