Responsibilities

Serves as the primary point of contact for the Special Operations Policy and Oversight Council (SOPOC), managing all administrative, planning, and logistical functions
Coordinates with senior leaders from across the SOF enterprise and interagency partners to schedule meetings, set agendas, and deconflict topics
Prepares and distribute all pre-meeting materials, including read-aheads, strategic analyses, and draft policy documents, ensuring timely delivery to council members
Attends all SOPOC meetings to capture detailed minutes, record key decisions, and track all assigned action items to completion
Drafts and circulate post-meeting executive summaries and formal minutes for review and final approval

Required

Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor's degree in National Security, International Affairs, Public Policy, or a related discipline
Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic planning, policy analysis, or supporting senior-level councils or committees within the DoD or interagency
Demonstrated understanding of the senior-level decision-making processes and the coordination of complex policy and strategic topics for executive review

Preferred

Master's degree
Ability to synthesize complex information from diverse sources, analyze policy implications, and prepare concise, high-impact briefing materials and read-aheads for senior leaders
Superior interpersonal and diplomatic skills, with a proven ability to coordinate and deconflict equities among senior stakeholders from across the SOF enterprise and the interagency
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience in drafting executive summaries, talking points, and official meeting minutes
Broad familiarity with the roles, missions, and organizational structure of the various components within the Special Operations enterprise
