Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for new and legacy aircraft products
Maintain/develop/support industry standard tools such as IBM DOORS and DOORS NG, IBM ELM, Siemens Teamcenter, NX, JIRA and Atlassian tools
Support application and/or product lifecycle management tooling
Bridge gaps between Engineering, IT and vendors
Support export control and legacy system environment configurations
Support common tool initiatives and migrations
Support application upgrades
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
Perform testing and debugging of tools to ensure software quality and performance
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Travel: up to 25%
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in software engineering, particularly in aerospace or related fields
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Expertise in supporting software development methodologies and tools
Experience with software testing and debugging techniques
Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong programming skills in languages such as C plus-plus, Python, or Java
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on aerospace applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in software engineering practices
Experience working within a global team
