Responsibilities
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or irregular conditions
Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and guiding deliveries to approved routes and staging areas
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm responses, disturbances, medical calls for service, and notifications to site leadership and/or public responders as required
Complete routine logs and incident reports, communicate observations during shift briefings, and assist with basic security-related monitoring of cameras and/or alarms when assigned
Qualification
Required
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
