Responsibilities
Collaborate within an Agile team environment to design, automate, and continuously improve software testing practices that support creativity, productivity, and customer success
Contribute to a culture of shared learning by participating in sprint ceremonies, peer reviews, Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice
Develop and maintain automated integration and system‑level tests that strengthen our automation pipeline and support consistent, release‑ready deliverables
Build innovative testing solutions using modern tools and frameworks to support ongoing product excellence and market leadership
Partner with your team to refine processes, improve test environments, and integrate high‑quality practices into daily development workflows
Debug, troubleshoot, and validate software issues across both unreleased and customer‑facing products, ensuring strong product performance and reliability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience
5+ years' experience testing software products and designing test cases from a user perspective, or equivalent practical experience
Ability to develop automated tests using tools such as C#, .Net, Python, Git, Bash/PowerShell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical thinking, with a desire to explore new technologies and apply them to solve test automation challenges
Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments
Commitment to building high‑quality work through consistent testing, debugging, and documentation practices
Legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Emerson will not petition for H-1B visas for this position
Preferred
Experience automating tests for embedded systems, firmware, or hardware‑integrated products
Hands‑on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD platforms
Experience in API and/or Integration testing
Experience developing and executing automated integration tests, system tests, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews, or test design reviews
