Responsibilities
Learn business development fundamentals including opportunity identification, capture planning, customer engagement etiquette, competitive analysis, and the proposal development lifecycle
Navigate procurement and opportunity portals; build a weekly opportunity pipeline tailored to Voyager’s capabilities and growth priorities
Understand the Northeast Ohio aerospace ecosystem and identify collaboration paths aligned with Voyager’s interests
Create customer facing materials including one page capability summaries, outreach emails, presentation slides, and competitive positioning briefs
Attend strategy meetings, shadow capture activities, and assist with market research supporting active pursuits
Produce a polished proposal submission by end of program
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Aerospace Engineering; junior standing by fall 2026
Strong business acumen with project management exposure
Critical and creative thinking
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion
Preferred
Previous internship, coursework, or project experience
Curiosity about the space industry regional ecosystem and interest in government contracting, strong research stamina, storytelling ability & persuasion awareness, adaptability in fast-moving environments
