Engineering Technician I
Astrion is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support the Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support (METTS) III contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. This entry-level technical position provides semi-professional support to engineers involved in research, design, development, testing, and manufacturing process improvement activities.

Responsibilities
Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring basic wiring, soldering, or mechanical connections
Perform simple or routine tests such as tensile or hardness tests
Operate and adjust basic test equipment in accordance with detailed instructions
Record and maintain engineering data including test results, drawings, and related documentation
Gather, organize, and maintain specified engineering records
Perform basic computations by substituting values into established formulas
Plot data and prepare simple curves or graphs
Assist engineers with design support activities, including preparing or updating drawings and parts lists
Qualification
Required
Experience reading blueprints and understanding parts lists
Basic practical knowledge of electrical, electronic, or mechanical components
Ability to bend, stoop, or lift occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods as required by assigned tasks
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively under supervision
U.S. Citizenship required
Public Trust clearance required
