They are seeking an AV Tech Intern to assist the IT Team with the setup, installation, and maintenance of AV equipment and systems for events and meetings.

Responsibilities

Assist the IT Manager with equipment setup and installation for events and meetings
Troubleshoot and repair AV equipment as needed
Assist with the maintenance of AV equipment and systems
Ensure that all AV equipment is properly labeled, stored, and documented
Provide technical support for AV equipment and systems during events and meetings
Stay up-to-date on new AV technology and equipment

AV equipment knowledgeVideo conferencing softwareProblem-solving skillsCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

Knowledge of AV equipment and systems
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be available for all the OT weeks and be able to travel to VA for OT
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Audio Visual Technology or a related field
Passionate about learning and welcoming people from all over the world, learning about their culture and sharing your own culture and experiences
An active listener and an effective communicator
Flexible with your time and energy and willing to expand beyond the day-to-day expectations of your work
Eager to work in an organized and efficient way to meet time-sensitive deadlines
Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow directions in a face-paced environment

Preferred

Familiarity with video conferencing software and hardware is a plus
