Derrick Corporation is seeking a self-motivated IT Help Desk Technician who will take ownership of technical issues and deliver excellent support to end users. The role involves providing first-level technical support, managing user accounts, and maintaining hardware and software assets while collaborating with the IT team.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support —resolve issues quickly or escalate appropriately
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals across the organization
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in collaboration with the IT team
Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets
Create and update technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides
Train and support employees on business applications and technology tools
Support and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Power Automate
Assist with basic development, troubleshooting, and user support for low-code/no-code applications and automated workflows

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems

Located in or around Houston, TX
