Principal Engineer, Software Developer P4 (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Develop, design, and debug OBPHM Services in Linux Kubernetes environment
Develop software code that implements requirements, working closely with customers, stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts
Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework
Work with a team of Java and Python software developers within an Agile framework across multiple projects
Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs
Perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results
Participating in Agile ceremonies
Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework
Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master and/or part of the Development Team
Review and analyze offboard software requirements
Conduct code reviews
Troubleshoot code and build issues and support released software and deployments
Implement, adhere to, and continuously improve software development processes and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
8 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years' experience
U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience with Microservices, Java, Python, CI/CD, Agile, DevSecOps, AWS, SQL, Test Driven Design
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
Solid track record of achieving results in technical leadership role
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams
Proven ability to drive process improvement in a technical organization
Demonstrated Expertise in Software Verification & Validation, functional coverage, code coverage, traceability, methodologies, automation, quality assurance practices, software engineering process
Excellent troubleshooting, investigation, problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed to interface with Development Team, Customers, Stakeholders and SMEs
