Configuration Specialist II
Arcata Associates, Inc. is a company focused on engineering and configuration management services. They are seeking a Configuration Specialist II to perform configuration management functions, process change requests, and coordinate activities with various departments to ensure compliance with established criteria.

Responsibilities
Perform configuration management functions for Annex 2. This includes configuration item identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audit tracking
Process Change Requests (CRs) and Change Notices (CNs). Manage the disposition of the CNs and communicate with the initiator of the CN to meet completion dates
Prepare and facilitate Configuration Control Board meetings
Coordinate configuration activities with Quality Assurance and Cyber Security functional areas to ensure change management and cyber attributes are completed
Assist in the development of Configuration Management processes
Utilize Maximo to identify and enter system configuration items
Support tracking of system software lists
Work with engineering to establish functional and physical baselines for engineering projects
Organize and input the established functional and physical baselines into the configuration management tools
Provide support and training to J-Tech personnel in the use of configuration management tools used on the J-Tech II contract
Review and analyze items submitted to the CM Office to ensure they meet established CM requirements and assess the actions required to ensure conformance
Evaluate the Technical Data Library (TDL), the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS), and Maximo to assure that configuration items submitted comply with JT4 established criteria. Ensure the most recent authorized version of materials under configuration control are clearly identified and input to the TDL or EDMS. Ensure previous versions of materials under configuration control are clearly identified and controlled to provide an audit trail that permits reconstruction of all changes made to each configuration item
Provide reports to management and other functional areas as required
Work closely with Data Management and Quality Assurance to assist in the continuous improvement of the Business Operations Department
Qualification
Required
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to read, interpret and comment on technical documentation
Ability to establish and maintain accurate records and files
Ability to coordinate and prioritize a variety of activities and projects
Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively in oral and written form
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with others
Ability to travel as required
Must obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance commensurate with this position
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada driver's license
Preferred
Four-year business degree or related is preferred
At least four years' experience in configuration management
Working knowledge of Configuration Management Standard EIA-649 and MIL-STD-31000
