Responsibilities
Serves as communication coordinator for assigned neighborhood; answers telephones, page calls, retrieve/deliver messages
Maintains medical records of each resident on the unit, thins medical records according to policy
Assists with ensuring labs are completed as order and lab book is up-to-date
Assists residents in scheduling transportation and/or PDA for appointments in accordance with facility process/policy; keeps neighborhood appointment calendar up to date, and communicates pending appointments to nursing staff so residents are ready
Assists on unit by answering resident call lights, transporting residents on the unit, assisting with resident mealtime
Maintains unit census, keeps unit roster and all daily assignments up to date
Prepares new admission charts/delivers discharged charts to medical records
Ensure office supplies available for unit staff
Assists with charging/maintaining SARA phones
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalency, required
Preferred
GNA license in the state of Maryland, preferred
One (1) year related experience, preferred
