IT Intern - Technical Training
Ascension is a leading nonprofit Catholic health system, and they are seeking an IT Intern for Technical Training. This internship provides hands-on experience in a healthcare IT environment, focusing on the design and delivery of training solutions to support process updates and system changes.

Responsibilities
Assist in analyzing training needs related
Support definition of learning objectives, target audiences, and success criteria
Help document training strategies and delivery approaches aligned to change initiatives
Assist in developing learning content such as:
Help translate technical or process documentation into clear, learner-focused training materials
Support alignment of training content to approved standards, processes, and messaging Help manage training logistics and learner support during rollout
Assist in evaluating training effectiveness through:
Help summarize insights and recommend improvements to training content or delivery methods
Support updates to training materials based on feedback, process changes, or system updates
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand process changes, system updates, and training needs
Assist in creating and maintaining training assets across multiple formats
Participate in coordinating and supporting training rollout activities
Support continuous improvement cycles by analyzing feedback and outcomes
Qualification
Required
High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required
Preferred
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in one of the following or a related field: Instructional Design or Learning Sciences, Journalism, Communications, Information Technology, Business, Operations, or Change Management, Healthcare Informatics, Technology or Data-related disciplines
Interest in creating clear, learner-focused training materials that support process changes and system updates
Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and deliverables; comfortable tracking work, meeting milestones, and adjusting priorities
Strong ability to work across teams, engage stakeholders, ask effective questions, and build positive working relationships
Comfortable learning, documenting, and explaining structured processes; able to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
Familiarity with learning tools, collaboration platforms, or enterprise systems; able to quickly adapt to new technologies
