SR. MARKET DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE - Eastern New York

The Senior Market Development Representative is responsible for growing sales and market share by managing wholesaler relationships and executing retail strategies in their assigned area.

Responsibilities
Retail Execution: Spend quality time in market individually and with team to obtain new distribution, execute promotional activity and ensure SNBC brand standards are executed
Manage assigned wholesalers in your area with the respective sales teams with the goal of increasing our sales and market share
Provide exceptional service with the goal of becoming their preferred supplier
Maintain proactive, solution-oriented communications with supervisors, sales team and wholesalers
Develop, deliver, execute and participate in monthly and annual planning meetings for assigned wholesalers and lead the execution of said Annual Business Plans
Provide weekly written recaps to wholesalers and SNBC team of business results, opportunities and assigned accountabilities/tasks
Responsible for budgets, including co-op dollars, writing incentives and approving bill-backs
Assist in the ‘Due Diligence’ Process in regards to the wholesaler transition process
Operate effectively within the brewery and budgetary guidelines
Works with leadership to ensure that team reports and pricing communication are distributed within the three tiers – SNBC, our chains, and our wholesalers
Qualification
Required
Associate's Degree or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved required
In depth knowledge of state and federal liquor laws required
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve company business plan goals, including volume, distribution, and profitability
Strong organization and time management skills
In-depth knowledge of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.'s history, culture and product
Ability to interface with various levels of management at both retail and wholesale
Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills
Excellent sales skills
Self-motivated and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
Driver's License free of any major moving violations within the last three years upon hire required
To be considered for this role, you must reside within the market you support. Eligible locations include the Capital District or Northern Hudson Valley
You must be at least 21 years of age to perform the duties of this position for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.; Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post offer background check.; Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post offer driver's license check
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred
2 years sales experience preferred
Previous sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
