Responsibilities

End-to-end hardware design
Working within our CAD environment (NX)
Conducting FEA analyses using Nastran and/or ANSYS
Performing supporting hand calculations
Collaborate closely with the launch site civil and fluids engineering teams
Contribute to the development and review of procedures for testing or operating the equipment you design and analyze
Coordination with both in-house and external fabrication partners to ensure successful hardware delivery

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering field
Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle mechanical design
Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA)
Strong foundation in structural mechanics and engineering analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet evolving requirements
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred

4+ years of full-cycle mechanical design experience
Familiarity with aerospace standards (NASA, DoD, USAF, AFSPCMAN 91-710)
Experience with large structures, mechanisms, or launch ground systems
Proficient with ANSYS, FEMAP, and advanced NX usage
Understanding of industry codes (e.g., AISC, ACI, AWS, ASTM, ASME, NFPA)
Experience checking drawings and applying GD&T standards
