Responsibilities

Support the management and maintenance of digital properties, including internal and external websites, web applications, and digital channels
Coordinate web and digital content updates in alignment with release schedules, public health priorities, and CDC standards
Collaborate with staff, Divisions, Offices, writers, and health communicators to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent content
Maintain web content inventories and conduct routine and annual content reviews to identify and update outdated information
Support content review cycles, clearance processes, and version control to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
Maintain and update web content inventories for both internet and intranet properties
Ensure all content complies with health literacy, plain language, Section 508 accessibility, and CDC web policies
Support content clearance, approval workflows, and Digital First best practices
Use analytics tools to monitor performance and produce web metrics reports with recommendations for SEO and content optimization
Develop, publish, and maintain data visualizations using tools such as CDC COVE and Power BI
Stay current on CDC web policies, digital technologies, accessibility requirements, and emerging best practices
Participate in CDC web workgroups, committees, and advisory meetings as requested
Provide recommendations for content optimization, process improvements, and capacity building across Offices and Divisions

Required

Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting websites or digital content for large, regulated organizations (e.g., federal, public health, healthcare, or research environments)
Familiarity with content management systems, web publishing workflows, and digital governance
Experience using web analytics tools and translating data into actionable insights
Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and health literacy principles
Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Ability to pass required Federal background screening, obtain and maintain government clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, digital media, information science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred

Familiarity with CDC COVE, Power BI or similar data visualization
Experience with SEO, digital performance reporting and audience analytics
Prior experience supporting CDC or similar US government client
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
