Client Support Associate

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality customer service
Answer incoming calls and emails to general phone number and email account regarding the application and loan process, loan repayments, and general client concerns questions
Review initial applications to determine client eligibility including document verification and sending emails advising client of next steps in the loan process
Maintain client information in Salesforce database during and after each interaction to maintain accuracy
Have a thorough understanding of loan requirements and loan process
Help clients problem-solve challenges with the application and loan process
Schedule client interviews, compile client stories, process loan documents, data entry, and some office support
Conduct collection process for borrowers and guarantors
Deposit donations into the JFLA’s bank account to support the accounting team
Assist accounting team with clerical duties as necessary
Work with the JFLA team to stay updated to any changes in lending policies and procedures
Pick up mail from office
Assist Partnership Officer as necessary
Other duties as assigned

Required

Self-starter who can thrive in a remote work environment and is adept at managing their workload effectively
Good people skills; relate well on phone and in person; demonstrate patience and kindness in all interactions with loan applicants and recipients
Excellent organizational skills; work well in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter with ability to maintain composure, think critically and meet deadlines while responding to multiple priorities
Possesses strong accuracy and attention to detail
Comfortable with technology, especially databases and word processing
Must be based in the Los Angeles area with the flexibility to attend in-person meetings and events as necessary

Preferred

Experience with Salesforce preferred
Previous experience in finance or social work preferred
Team player who is flexible and adaptable to changing needs
Understanding of and dedication to JFLA's mission, with the ability to convey its importance to a variety of audiences
Proficiency in Spanish preferred
