Responsibilities

Evaluate corrosion damage on pipelines and determine fitness for service
Conduct bimonthly monitoring of all reverse current switches, cathodic protection rectifiers, and interference bonds
Recommend and track repair and maintenance activity submitted to other departments or contractors
Perform remedial activities where cathodic protection levels are below minimum criteria. This includes but is not limited to fault locating, coating evaluation, and cathodic protection current requirements
Conduct gas titration inspections on a bi-monthly basis to evaluate gas quality
Complete Operator Qualification training or testing in all applicable tasks
Attend schools and seminars both within and outside the company to keep abreast of technology, new products and equipment, and changes in regulatory requirements
Prepare monthly and annual reports as required by the department and regulatory agencies
Review monitoring schedules, completions and results to ensure compliance
Monitoring, evaluating, and repairing existing cathodic protection systems
