Mid, Senior LevelSoloPoint Solutions is seeking an Electronic Engineer to design and develop LED products for various applications. The role involves translating concepts into manufacturable designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
Design and develop LED products for harsh environments and stringent EMI/BCI requirements for automotive, motorcycle, UTV/ATV, and similar applications
Develop moderately complex concepts for customer inquiries and RFQs, representing Electrical Engineering in cross-functional teams to assess feasibility and cost
Translate concepts into manufacturable designs incorporating DFMEA, DFM/DFA principles, regulatory standards, and optimized manufacturing processes
Communicate directly with customers and suppliers on technical issues, ensuring timely completion of all engineering deliverables for new product development
Mentor junior team members, lead by example, improve design standards and best practices, and apply effective problem-solving throughout product development
Qualification
Required
BSEE or BSEET degree
Experience designing electronic circuits using Altium or PADS software
Experience with LED products, power supplies, or motor driver design
Working knowledge of serial communication protocols, including CAN or other serial-based integrated firmware
System-level understanding of vehicle, power, and control systems, including how circuits function upstream and downstream
Strong time management and project management skills
Collaborative and communicative, with the ability to take initiative and proactively seek information
Ability to use schematic capture and PCB layout tools (preferably PADS) to create and verify designs
Willingness to support cross-functional teams, including SMT and Sourcing
Preferred
Experience designing with microcontrollers and simulation software
Familiarity with automotive lighting standards and regulations (SAE, ECE, FMVSS)
