Responsibilities
Inspect weldments to ensure compliance with AWS standards and customer specifications
Review, generate, and maintain weld procedures, welder certifications, and quality documentation
Perform and oversee weld quality inspections and testing as required
Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
Develop and enforce weld-related SOPs and best practices
Support production, engineering, and training efforts to improve weld quality and consistency
Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
5+ years of experience in welding, weld quality, or manufacturing quality environments
Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and AWS D14.3 standards
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications
Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
Frequent bending, climbing, stooping, and hands-on inspection activity
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
Exposure to noise, welding environments, and moving machinery
Preferred
Technical degree in welding or engineering preferred but not required
