Hydrogen Technician
Plug Power is a leader in hydrogen production and is seeking a Hydrogen Technician to support their facility. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to ensure operational efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventative maintenance in order to keep the facility operational including both troubleshooting and repairs of production machines and equipment
Properly fills out the required record keeping documentation
Communicate on an ongoing basis with the System Controls Operator for the maintenance and operation of compressors
Monitor process equipment and diagnoses problems; replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts as necessary
Maintain and prepare high-pressure and cryogenic trailers for filling; shuttle tube trailers in within the plant yard
Practice safe work habits and housekeeping on a daily basis within the facility; including maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with all governmental and company procedures, rules, and regulations
Provide or arrange for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production; perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Assist quality and efficiency improvements
Work safely and effectively within a team environment, ensuring positive communication
Must professionally communicate and collaborate with other Plug Power team members and leaders
Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Must have the ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker certifications
Ability to read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Quality focused with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to role model high standards of professionalism
Preferred
Vocational education/training
Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience in a manufacturing operation, filling or loading experience
Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, and associated tools
Training and experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, compressors, troubleshooting or repairs
